poorani jeans aur tshirt is an initiative to provide clothing to the needy, to help them live their life with dignity..I, Prabhkiran Singh, a 3rd yr student at IIT BOMBAY just thought of doing something for the cause..With the full help of Ankush Thapa,my batchmate we intend to make this initiative a success by involving more and more people as volunteers..There already are 1-2 cloth donation camps taking place in my college during a year..These were carried out by placing cloth collection bags at various places in the college campus.. But i found those not much effective because many of my friends did'nt donated clothes and they said they surely would have donated something when i asked whether they would donate anything if approached at their own room.

Keeping this in mind, we intend to collecting clothes from people from their room itself..covering each and every room of the campus..so people, play your part for the cause..we are coming soon to your room :)

Such a donation s not charity .. itz our obligation .. itz our duty ..

The moment you open your closet, the first thing that you see is a t-shirt which you dont need...A t-shirt you are sick and tired of which, you want to get rid of which...And you dont know what to do with it.

Especially in colleges, where we have loads of college t-shirts floating like those pertaining to hostel, fests,departments & various clubs in the institute.

What i have personally seen, is that many a times you dont like the design or the colour of the t-shirt and you never really do wear them.
But its still lying in your closet lying as a waste doing nothing.Or you may have a cloth with stain, tear or hole in it.

Be a courteous donor.Get rid of them.

Remember there is no small act of Kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no
logical end.
